Transfers

I received a phone call from my boss on Friday while out shopping for a graduations dress with Kristen. I had heard rumors that we were over staffed and I was beginning to get worried that I was going to lose my job. So, when ever she called I got sick to my stomach. While sitting in the dressing room I answered my phone. She told me that I was able to transfer to our newer office in South Jordan ( SoJo as we call it) or I would be let go. So, I obviously told her that SoJo sounded great!! After that relief Kristen and I went on shopping and found me a great dress. It was a fun weekend after that. I went back to the mall on Saturday and bought some sassy new shoes to go with my dress and went to my old roommates wedding. It was great to see Morgan and she looked beautiful! I ran into an old friend from school who I hadn't seen in about a year, and I spent most of the weekend with Kristen! it was fabulous!

I started my first day in SoJo today, and loved it! My new boss seems great and the girl I worked with today was awesome! I had so much fun at work. Lets hope it stays great!! :)

p.s. I move in 30 days and Graduate in 39!!! I'm so excited!

I know I need to Blog more!

So I know it has been a long time since my last post! I'm sorry!

A lot has happened in the past month. I have made a few trips to California, started my new job, found a fabulous townhouse I am moving into the week before graduation and had Pneumonia! My life has been full of a lot of ups and downs the past month.

I finally found a great little town house in Provo! I am moving into the week before graduation! I am so excited! I will post pictures when I finally move.

My new job at Noah's is pretty fun. They people I work with are funny and very entertaining. I do a lot of event set ups and take downs, so I did get tendinitis again my first week working. That was not so fun! I like my job, and it will do for a while, but It is no 23rd Floor! :( I think I got a little spoiled up there, and nothing will be like it was there. I miss my 23rd Floor girls!

I made a trip to California the week after I started working to go to my sisters baby shower and to see my Aunt Joyce who wasn't doing so well. It was a fun weekend. I got to spend time with My sister and see my family. Becky's baby shower was great! Aunt Terri and Barbie did a great job! I helped then decorate all morning, and Terri made an awesome cake with a surf scene on it! It was a great day! That weekend I also go to spend a little bit of time with Aunt Joyce. She stopped by the baby shower to say hello for just a few minuets before it started. I then stopped by the day before I flew back to Utah and spent an hour visiting with her and Aunt Judy. It was nice to have a chance to say goodbye.

As many of you know Joyce passed away a few weeks ago. She was an amazing woman. She really was like a second Mom to me. She was the one that would pick me up from school, when my mom forgot me. She took care of me quite a few times when I was little and home sick, while mom was at school. She touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with.
She had such a strong spirit, such strong faith in the gospel, and was one of the most caring and giving people I have met.
I will never forget the many emails she sent me while I was in college, asking me how I was doing and she always asked who I was dating. When ever she would come out to Utah she would make sure to invite me to have dinner or go play with everyone. I will never forget the countless family dinners these past few years.
My favorite Aunt Joyce story would have to be, when she tried to set me up on a date. This was back in July. I remember sitting at her kitchen table with her and her calling a guy my age from her ward who she taught in seminary. She left a message on his voice mail saying that her niece was in town and that she thought he should give me a call and take me out. She was so excited to call him, but as soon as she had to leave a message she got all nervous, it was pretty funny. She wanted so badly for me to find a nice guy to date. She was such a sweet person and she wanted to do anything and everything she could to help. And I could never thank her enough for that.
p.s. He never called

My Aunt Joyce was one of the most inspirational women I have ever met. She was tender, kind, loving, and sincere. Words can not express how much I miss her and will continue to miss her but I know that I will see her again. I love you Aunt Joyce!

Why do I live here?

All I really have to say is that I hate the snow!! I can hardly get out of the parking lot of my apartment, and then the roads are never plowed so I am pretty much stuck in my apartment. Going to school is a joke! They never clear the parking lots that i park in, and then stupid people park and leave like 6 feet in between the other car and then there is no room to park!

but my BIGGEST PET PEEVE is...
IF YOU HAVE A PLOW ON YOUR TRUCK AND YOU ARE DRIVING ON A SNOWY ROAD THAT NEEDS TO BE PLOWED PUT DOWN YOUR FREAKING PLOWER AND CLEAR THE ROAD!

That is my complaint for the day...

The end to the beginning

The end of 2008 was a wonderful, but I am thankful that 2008 is over!

The Holidays were wonderful and I had so much fun hanging out with the Family in Santa Barbara for Christmas. I spent Allot of time at the mall..not Christmas shopping but visiting Becky at work! I took Chino on a walk to the beach and spent allot of time hanging out with Lance. I spent some quality time with Aunt Terri making peppermint covered marshmallows ( I hope the tasted better then they looked... some of them didn't turn out all that great). And it is always great to see the Grandparents! My parents came in on Christmas eve and we all went to dinner together. Christmas day we all went to Becky's and opened presents and then went to Jason and Sally's for dinner. It was so wonderful to see them and the kids! I can't believe how big Nate, and Ben and Lanie have gotten!

New Years wasn't my typical new years but it was soo much fun! I just had a small girls night with some friends and watched movies and ate junk and just let loose and had some fun! It was great!

Allot has happened in 2008 I have made friendships, lost friendships, began and ended relationship, had more friends then I thought possible get married in 1 year, deiced exactly what I want to do for a living, found my job, lost a job, almost graduated.. but most of all I have found who I am and I have grown more from these experiences this past year then in any other year past.

I am excited to see what 2009 will bring!

The SLC airport is not my friend!

In case anyone wants to know I hate the snow!!

I was so excited to go to Santa Barbara today! Planned to go to Judy’s and leave me car there and Aunt Judy would take me to the airport. Well I got up this morning to a snow covered parking lot and snow covered roads. But that didn’t stop me! I carried my stuff down 3 flights of stairs my suit case was only 45lbs (Dad aren’t you proud it’s light this year!) and dragged it all through the snow. Then I was off to Judy’s. It took me 40 min to get there and it is usually about 20. When I got to Judy’s she was so cute outside in her little beanie clearing her driveway! The snow was horrible!! It took us a little over an hour to get to the airport; most of it was spent trying to get through I-15. I was starting to get worried that I would not make my flight. I called a few times in the car and my flight was on time. Luckily we made it! When I got to the airport my flight was DELAYED!!!!! My flight was supposed to leave at 11:20 am it is now almost 1pm and I am hoping that I get to leave within the next hour.
I have done all I can think of to entertain myself while sitting her for 3 hours. I have people watched, and that was great when the UCSB basketball team was sitting across from me :) and played online. Searched for jobs, and talked to people on facebook, and talked on the phone! (Thank you creators of facebook!)
So thank you to all to have entertained me today, and Sally’s Mom for being so excited to answer the phone when I called Sally! It made my day! :)

Cross your fingers that my flight gets here soon!! And GOOD LUCK to all who are flying this weekend!!
